Please follow the instruction documented in here and use the Apple links provided. Apple devices purchased from other stores (e.g., Costco, BestBuy, London Drugs, Apple Store, etc.) may not be eligible for reimbursement and must be submitted for Hardware Approval Committee. Approved devices will need to be brought to IT Support for configuration in order to use it for USask work and teaching.

Computer purchases made outside of, and without the support of, IT Requisitions will be charged setup and support fees of $100/hour.* 

*Colleges/departments/units with existing setup fee arrangements will be honoured per their MOUs.

The USask IT environment works most efficiently with PC-based devices. Security, data storage, general access, management and support-related tasks perform better in our environment on a PC. Before ordering a Mac please consider purchasing one of our standard PC devices.

Please note that account creation can take approximately 48 hours.

  1. Email it_requisitions@usask.ca asking for access to the Apple e-commerce Store for University of Saskatchewan.
  2. You will receive an email from Apple with a link to register. You must register in order to create an Apple account.
  3. You will be notified by Apple that your account has been created and that you are eligible to shop on the Apple e-commerce Store for University of Saskatchewan.
  4. Make your device selection and complete the checkout process. Please send your order to your address.
  5. Please be advised that, as per Apple's policy, custom-built Mac computers are non-returnable.

Apple devices and accessories must be ordered via the Apple e-commerce Store for University of Saskatchewan, which includes enrollment in the Apple Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) program. This program enables USask to properly manage your hardware and ensure all required security protocols are in place. Once you receive your device, submit a Computer Setup Request and an agent will reach out to get your device set up and ready to use.
